Q

Labral tear - slap lesion

A
Type 1 - labrum has degenerated but still attached
Type 2 (most common) - GL detached completely from antero/postero superior portion. Labrum lifted here by long biceps tendon, tendon attachment unstable
Type 3 - free superior labrum displaced into joint (bucket handle), labral attachment to glenoid rim & biceps tendon remains intact
Type 4 - free superior labrum displaced into joint, long head of biceps tendon is partially ruptured

Trauma related, repetitive overhead throwing
Often occurs with rotator cuff injuries
S & S - non-specific shoulder pain with overhead or cross body activities, popping, clicking or catching at shoulder

Speeds Test & Neers, anterior slide test
