How to remember SITS muscles origin and insertions?
Supraspinatus, Infraspinatus, Subcapularis all originate from their respective fossas and insert on the greater trochanter -except for Subscapularis, which inserts on lesser trochanter.
Teres Minor originates on the upper two-thirds of the lateral border of the scapula and also inserts on the greater trochanter.
How to remember Deltoid and Trapezius?
Deltoid originates from spine of scapula, acromion, and lateral one-third of the clavicle, and inserts on the deltoid tuberosity.
Trapezius inserts the same as the origin of the Deltoid, and originates at the external occipital protuberance, medial portion of the superior nuchal line of the occiput, ligamentum nuchae, and spinous processes of C7-T12.
