Shoulder Flashcards
Apprehension test
Seated, passively aBduct and externally rotate arm/shoulder slowly
Check laxity of joint
Anterior shoulder dislocation or trauma
Codman’s sign
Seated, passively bring arm to 90, suddenly drop it
Supraspinatus tendon injury

DJD, supraspinatus or bicepital tendon irritation
Speeds test
Seated, resistance to shoulder flexion 90-90
Bicepital tendinitis / bicepital groove
Supraspinatus press test
Seated, against resistance, aBduct to 90, then medialy rotate and angle 30 forward, thumbs down, aBduct against resistance
