II. Diabetes Mellitus II. Thyroid Disease II. Women II. Age 40-65 II. Hx of AC on opposite side II. Dupuytren's Disease/Contracture III. Elevated serum cytokine levels IV. prolonged immobilization, myocardial infarction, trauma, autoimmune disease

Stage 1 Adhesive Capsulitis symptoms
A
Sharp pain at end ROM (may begin to loose ER ROM)
Achy pain at rest
Sleep disturbances
(gradual/progressive onset)

Stage 2 Adhesive Capsulitis symptoms
A
Gradual loss of motion in all directions
Pain with movement of shoulder

Stage 3 Adhesive Capsulitis symptoms
A
Decreased ROM (ER>abd>IR+flex)

A
Decreased pain Continued stiffness (18-24 months)

Adhesive capsulitis exam findings
A
- Loss of Active and Passive ROM (ER>Ab>IR)
- ER loss of 50% or <30°
- GHJ accessory motion restricted

Adhesive capsulitis imaging findings
A
- x-ray: normal (may have arthritis)
- MRI: thickened capsule and coracohumeral ligament in rotator cuff interval
- Arthrography: joint capsule capacity <10-12mL
