Climax
The highest point of tension and turning point of a story
Omniscient
The author tells the story in third person. Often the story jumps in and out of the minds of many characters
Static
A character who is a stereotype who does not change over the course of the story
Resolution
The end of the story
Dynamic
A character who is Manny sided who changes over the course of the story
Falling action
The conflict begins to be resolved
Stream of consciousness
The story is being told so that the reader feels as if they are inside the head of one character and knows all his thoughts
Theme
The controlling idea or central insight in a piece of fiction
Rising action
Suspense building in the story
Man versus himself
The main character struggles with his own phsical limitations
Setting
Location, time, weather conditions, social conditions, mood or atmosphere in which a story takes place
Introduction
Where the character and setting are revealed
Man versus man
The main character struggles with his physical strength against a Nother man, forces of nature, or animal
First person
The story is told by the protagonist or someone who interacts closely with the protagonist
Man versus circumstance
The main character struggles against fate or circumstances in life
