Plot
A series of related events that make up a story.
Exposition
Writing that explains, defines, and interprets–general essay writing.
Complication
The twisting of a main thread or theme in a plot.
Climax
The point in a story where the protagonist succeeds or fails.
Resolution
The “falling action”–the events following the climax
Setting
When and where the story takes place.

A flat character who changes very little during the progress of the play

A round character involved in lots of action.

The “knowing” can have varying degrees depending upon what the author wants you to know.
