A character who helps contrast with the main character, emphasizes the protagonists characteristics

Someone who changes throughout the story

Someone who doesn’t change throughout the story
Flat character
A very simple character, not so scattered
Round character
A character with many traits
Stereotypes
A label or standard
Direct characterization
When the author makes a direct statement about the character
Indirect characterization
Author makes you figure out about the character
Round character
Well developed character with many traits

One dimensional, very little character traits
