Describe Porous rocks.
Grains of Porous rocks are rounded and have spaces between them through which water can seep.
Describe Non-Porous rocks.
Grains of Non-Porous rocks have straighter sides that fit together without gaps, so water cannot seep through.
What are rocks?
Rocks are made up of grains of minerals, such as Quartz, calcium carbonate and feldspar.
What are minerals?
Minerals are Inorganic material (that have never been part of living things)
How is coal formed?
Coal is formed from plant and animal materials that are compressed when they remain buried under other material for hundred of years.

What are aquafires?
Aquafires are natural underground water reservoirs.
How does chalk form?
Chalk is formed when tiny sea creatures die and drop to the sea bed. The weight of the water compresses their shells. This process takes hundred of years.
