An appropriate answer would be: The participants could be asked to explain what
was stressful about their journey. The study would then have information on levels
of stress and on what, specifically, caused the stress.

The median with the interquartile range because the distribution is skewed (you
could also describe ii as ‘not normal’ instead of skewed, both are correct).
