what is a shoreline?
A
-line that marks contact between land and sea
-dynamic environment
-each day, as tides rise and fall, the position of the shoreline migrates

A
extends between lowest tide level and highest elevation on land that is affected by storm waves

A
extends inland from the shore as far as ocean-related features can be found

area exposed when tide is out (low tide) and submerged tide is in (high tide)

landward of the highest shoreline -usually dry, affected by waves only during storms
