When and why are hurricanes most common/dangerous
In september, as the water has heated up from the summer
How does a hurricane form?
When the water is 26.5oC or above and the deapth is 60+m, warn air rises from the water, and moving wind takes its place underneath. This process repaeats, making large thunderclouds, and eventally, a tornado. The spin of the Earth also factors in the direction of the hurricanes spin.
What is the coriolis effect
The Coriolis Effect -
Because the Earth rotates on its axis, circulating air is deflected toward the right in the Northern Hemisphere and toward the left in the Southern Hemisphere.
