Recalcitrant (adjective)
Stubbornly refusing to obey, rule or orders.
Ex: in management of recalcitrant tribesmen, brutality has not gone out of fashion.
Supposition (noun)
An idea or theory that one beliefs to be true; and not true.
Ex: The second supposition is that all things can compute.
Clamorous (adjective)
Loud.
Ex: The narrow streets are clamorous, dusty, and claustrophobic.
Abashed (adjective)
Embarrassed.
Ex: Even the police seem a bit abashed by the whole thing.
Despondent (adjective)
Very sad and without hope.
Ex: I’ve finally moved from despondent to hopeful.
Concur (verb)
Agree with someone or something.
Ex: Many parents expect their children to marry within their caste, and many children concur.
Barrage (noun)
Is a great amount of something that comes quickly and continuously.
Ex: The game the previous night began in a barrage of noise.
Ingrained (adjective/verb)
Being part of the inner most nature.
Ex: Hopefully that will get ingrained into the minds of dog owners.
Plod (verb)
To walk slow with heavy steps.
Ex: Snakes slither, mice scuttle, and turtles plod.

Ostentatious (adjective)
Excessively showy displaying wealth knowledge (etc.). In a way that is meant to attract attention or jealousy.
Ex: The city lacks ostentatious palaces, temples, or monuments.
