A

It allows a Soldier and/or and adult family member 18 years or older who is a sexual assault victim, on a confidential basis, to disclose the details of his/ her assault to specially identified individuals to receive medical treatment and counseling.

A

Unrestricted reporting triggers an investigation, and command notification. It allows a Soldier or eligible DA Civilian who is sexually assaulted and desires medical treatment, counseling, and an official investigation of their allegation to use current reporting channels, or they may report the incident to the SARC or SHARP VA.

The Army’s SHARP Program:
- is an integrated, proactive effort by the Army to end sexual harassment and sexual assault within its ranks.
-Permeates the Army structure from the Pentagon down to the individual Soldier level
-Has full-time staff at Brigade level
-Promotes cultural change accross the Army with a vision toward a culture of discipline and respect in which Soldiers intervene in sexual harassment and sexual assault to protect one another
–Includes a comprehensive effort to educate leaders and Soldiers about sexual harassment sexual assault.
