SFWO Specific Characteristics
In charge of 5x on an ODA
- Serve as Assistant Detachment Commanders (ADC)
- Serve as Detachment Commander in absence of 18A
- Ensure maintenance of institutional knowledge on ODA
- Ensure Continuity on ODA
- Focus on integrating SOF systems with other branch systems
- Does not Mentor TL
CW3-CW5 Specific Characteristics
A CW3 – Advanced Level Expert
Primary Duty is Company Operations Warrant Officer (COW)
Institutional Instructor
Leads specialized staff sections at the BN and GRP levels
A CW4 – Senior Level Expert
Primary Duty is Battalion Operations Warrant Officer - OR -
Senior Warrant Officer Advisor (SWOA) in Army or Joint Assignments
Institutional Instructor
Leads specialized staff sections at higher special operations commands
A CW5 – Master Level Expert
Primary Duty is Group Warrant Officer - OR -
SWOA in Army or Joint Assignments
SFWO Unique Skills Required:
6x
Proficient in 9 Principle SF Tasks, intelligence operations, tactical skills
Familiar with technical skills of an ODA
Aptitude for Foreign Language (must maintain proficiency)
Qualified Military Parachutists (must be Jumpmaster for promotion to CW3)
SFWO Unique Knowledge Required:
2x
- In-depth knowledge of at least one region of the world
