What are the kinds of threats referred to in S129A (1) and (2)
1) Threat that the person making the threat or some other person will commit an offence that is punishable by imprisonment. (doesn’t have to include the actual application of force)
2) Threat that the person making the threat or some other person that will make an accusation or disclosure whether true or false about misconduct that will seriously damage the reputation of the person.
3) A threat that the person making the threat that the will make improper use to the detriment of the person consenting. An occupational or vocational or commercial relationship between the person making the threat.

Who is a dependant family member?
PERSON WHOM HAS POWER AUTHORITY OVER HIM/HER
- Parent, step parent, foster parent, guardian, uncle, aunt
- A child of his parent or step parent.
- Spouse or de-facto partner described in (1)
- Members of the same family, whanau or culturally recognised group.
- Person that he/she is living with that has power and authority over the dependant.
