What is consent?
Giving permission for something to happen or agreeing to do something
What is a relationship?
A relationship is a way two or more people are connected.
What is stereotype?
It is an over-generalised belief about a certain group or class of people
What is discrimination?
It is unfairly treating a certain group of people for being different in either age, race, sex or if they have a disability.
What is harrassment?
When someone is aggressively pressuring someone or intimidating them.
What is vilification?
Saying or writing something negative about someone to make others have a negative opinion on them orr the thing.
What is resilience?
The ability to recover quickly from a difficult situation or time and move on.
What is wellbeing?
The state of being comfortable, healthy or happy.
What are 3 contraceptive methods available?
The pill (hormonal), condom (barrier) and Implanon (hormonal).
How is HIV transmitted?
HIV is transmitted through the exchange of bodily fluids from one person to another.
What is AIDS?
Aids is the late stage of the HIV virus and is when the immune system is very badly damaged by the virus making it weak.
What is abstinence?
The practice of restraining yourself from something usually drugs, alcohol or sex.
What hormones do females produce?
Estrogen & progesterone
What hormones do males produce?
Testosterone & Hypothalamus
What are examples of gender assumptions related to sex.
Men are responsible for the barrier when having sex. Females need to make sure the male is wearing the contraceptive.
What does STI stand for and how can they be prevented from spreading?
STI stands fro sexuals transmitted infections and it is an infection that is transmitted through any type of sexual intercourse where bodily fluids are mixed. They can be prevented by using a barrier when having sex.
What are the 5 components of fitness and give an example for each.
Cardiovascular endurance: cross county Muscular strength: weight lifting Muscular endurance: cycling Flexibility: gymnastics Body composition: diving
Factors that apply to performance include:
Self-confidence, emotional control, motivation, concentration, dedication.
Barriers to physical activity include:
Skill level, lack of time, lack of interest, lack of motivation or energy, injury, illness, transport.
What are the benefits of a warm-up?
- Reduces injury
- Allows better performance
- Allows the muscles in the body to activate
How does excessive use of technology impact a young person?
The young person will lack in physical fitness, social skills, bad mental health, bad health.
