virilization:
female infants may present with ambiguous genitalia due to excessive androgen exposure (male can appear normal)

salt-wasting crisis:
dehydration, hypotension, and electrolyte imbalances

precocious puberty: Excess androgens can lead to early development of secondary sexual characteristics in both males and females.
