The biological differences between males and females e.g. Hormones, anatomy and chromosomes

A
Gender is a person’s status as either masculine or female determined by society’s attitudes towards what is masculine and what is feminine.

What is Gender Dysphoria or Gender Identity Disorder
A
-When a persons sex is not the same as their gender- e.g. a female feels more masculine then feminine

What is sex-role stereotyping?
A
-When society prescribes specific traits which are acceptable for men or women
-These are transmitted through society by parents, peers, the media and schools
