It can be a house or a mega city.
How long do settlements stay for?
They can be permanent or temporary.

The land a settlement is built on.
What is the Situation?
The position of a settlement in relation to the surroundings.
What are the settlement shapes?
Uncleared, Linear and Dispersed.
What is at the bottom of the Settlement Hierarchy?
An isolated dwelling has 1-10 people. They are often rural, holiday homes or farmhouses.
What is the top of the Settlement Hierarchy?
A conurbation has 3-10 MILLION people!
What is the next biggest settlement after Conurbation?
A city has 100-300 thousand people and has many services.
What is the 2nd smallest settlement in the Hierarchy?
A hamlet has rare services with 10-100 people.
What are the three central sized settlements?
A Village has 100-1000 people with basic services, a small town has 1000-20000 people and schools, and a large town has 20000-100000 people.
