What does nucleated mean?
A way that houses are layed out
Houses that are grouped together are nucleated
Mostly near a junction
Often for protection

What does linear mean?
A way houses are layed out
Houses are built in a line
E.g. because hillsides are steep, houses are built in a line along the flat bottom of the valley
space
What does dispearsed mean?
A way houses are layed out
Where houses and buildings are spread out

People who live here often need a lot of land to earn a living.
Urban meaning?
People who live in settlements such as towns, villages or cities
Rural meaning?
People who live in the counrtyside.
Site meaning?
The physical land that a settlement is grown on.
Settlement meaning?
A place where people live
