Explain why people started to form settlements.

A
1- close to main roads 2-close to water 3-high lands 4- shelter from the elements 5- flat land

Q
Explain why do we find different settlement patterns.
A
Because sometimes we want to have enough land for farming and sometimes we want our town to be built around a crossroad. When we find linear settlement pattern is usually next to coast because the sea is stopping it from growing towards there so it’s grows in rows.
