A market settlement provides a wide range of services such as hotels,supermarkets, dental and medical services

A defensive settlement is when the ruins of old castles and heritage are still seen in the town today
What is a resource based settlement?
A resource based settlement grow because of a resource such as an important mineral ore
What is a recreational settlement?
People go on holidays to these settlements because of particular attractions
