What protection is granted to diplomat?
Immunities : negative exemption from jurisdiction and privileges: positive rights and advantages
What is the characteristic of the premises of the mission?
The premises mission are inviolable, they must no be used in any manner incompatible with the functions of mission
Define the principle of inviolability
Premises of the mission, their furnishing and other property thereon + means of transport of the mission shall be immune from search, requisition, attachment or execution.
Define personal inviolability
the person of a diplomatic agent shall not be liable to any form of arrest or detention. Receiving state shall treat them with due respect, shall prevent appropriately any attack on their person.

What can the sending state do regarding the immunity of the diplomat?
Immunity may be waived by the sending state

They have to respect the laws and regulation plus not interfere in the internal affairs
Who enjoys a lower regime of privileges?
Consular agents but also administrative and technical staff
Define consuls
Representation of a State in administrative issues. They provide assistance to nationals abroad. They enjoy the same privileges and immunities except for grave crime
