Idealists see cardinal features of liberal democracy, as being essential around the world.They hold that it should be the United States’ mission to spread democracy, support human rights throughout the world.
What is realism ?
Tend to view the world as it is, and the serve the national interest the best they can
What is exceptionalism ?
The US should be at the top of everything, the belief that a country is unsually good, excpetional, successful

The purchase of Lousiana happened in 1803, The US acquired the teritory from France and huge money in order to finance the European War

in 1945, the idea that the U.S is destiné by God to expand its domination and spread democracy and capitalisme across the North American continent
