RHV
- Right Ventricular Hypertrophy
- Enlarging of the Right Ventricle.
Hypertrophy
-Enlarging of an organ.
ETT
- Exercise Treadmill Test
- Stress Test
- Pt is injected with meds hooked to an EKG and BP and exercises. Pictures of heart are taken afterwards.
EKG
- Electrocardiogram
- Graphic reading of the heart while at rest.
- Also ECG
Angioplasty
-Medical operation where the heart is accessed through femoral artery and occluded blood vessels are enlarged and cleaned.
CABG
- Coronary Artery Bypass Graph
- (CABG)
- Open Heart Surgery
- When angioplasty is no effective blood vessels can be replaced with other blood vessels (from legs or animals).
- Will be written as CABX x2 (x3 etc) enumerating how many vessels were replaced.
Cardiomegaly
- Enlarged Heart
- Cardio (Heart) Megaly (Enlargement)
Edema
-Swelling in hands and/or feed due to fluid buildup.
Ascities
-Fluid in abdomen.
Polycythemia
- Excess of RBC (Red Blood Cells) which need to be drained.
- Will present with bright swollen nose.
Hemopytsis
-Coughing Up Blood
PE
- Pulmonary Embolism
- Blood clot in lungs
- Can present with Chest Pain, SOB, dizziness
D-Dimer
-Diagnostic test to diagnose PE
Stasis
-Narrowing of a vessel.
Ad-Lib
-As desired, as welcomed, patient’s being
AIDS
-Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome
HIV
- Consent is a must.
- Only give results in person.
Western Blot
