Q

Describe the environmental and genetic factors involved in schizophrenia.

A

Increased risk in siblings (8-10%), for monozygotic twins (45%). However, this also means that over 50% of monozygotic twins are unaffected despite being genetically identical which means there are significant non-inherited risk factors which are also important.
