  • hold the bottle of champagne by the base and by the top with the label facing the customer
  • incline the bottle with the top towards you and the bottom toward the guest

Serving Champagne:

A
  • place the champagne flutes in front of the guests
  • take the foil of the bottle
  • hold the bottle steady by the base in your right hand, and the cork with your left hand.
  • remove the cork by twisting the bottle from the base. Never twist the cork.
  • keep turning the bottle while pushing the cork down so that it doesn’t pop.
    Until the cork comes out of the bottle with a gentle hiss
  • when the cork of a champagne bottle comes out, it should not make a noise.

Pouring Champagne:

A
  • place the bottle in the palm of your hand, label facing up, holding it steadily with your four fingers, insert your thumb into the base.
  • using only your wrist to move the bottle up&down, pour steadily into the inclined champagne flute.
