What is a service value system?
It’s a model for service management. It describes the elements of an organisation that need to be considered, organised and managed to operate successfully. It’s a collection of parts that work together for a purpose.
What are the key inputs and outputs to a SVS and describe them?
Inputs - opportunity and demand. Opportunity are options or possibilities to add value. Demand is the need or desire for products and services.
Output - Value which is the perceived benefits, usefulness and importance of something.
What are the internal components of an SVS and what do they mean?
Guiding principles- recommendation that can guide an organisation
Governance - the means by which an organisation is directed and controlled
Practices- set of resources for preforming work or accomplishing an objective
Continual improvements- reoccurring activities preformed at all levels to ensure performance continually meets stakeholders expectations.
What is the purpose of the SVS?
Ensure an organisation continually co-creates value with stakeholders through the use and management of products and services. It enables flexibility and discourages silo working.
It provides the frame work for ITIL.
