What is a series circuit

When electrical components are connected to each other in a loop

Describe the current in a series circuit
A
The current will flow in one direction, the ammeter will have the same reading no mater where it is placed in the circuit

Describe the potential difference in a series circuit
A
The potential difference will be equal to the total of all potential differences in the components

Describe the resistance in a series circuit
A
If there are resistors connected in a circuit then the current must go through them so the resistances are added together
