Q

what is another formula for serial dilution?

A

C1V1 = C2V2

C1 = conc of stock solution
V1 = volume of stock solution required to make new concentration
C2 = concentration of new solution
V2 = volume of new solution (volume of stock and water together)

Q

what do dilution series enable us to do?

A

● make solutions with very low conc without having to measure out very small volumes

● this will help improve accuracy
