Use of radios

Long term comms procedures
- maintain operability of radio
- know current location of both team and receiving station

Short term evasion/immediate action
- identify where enemy action/crash site/danger area is and get med check
- identify direction “BRG” away from enemy action/crash site/danger area, grab essential gear, get head count and move out gaining time and distance using PACE COUNT
Short term evasion inital movement
- continue to GAIN time and distance
- successfully clear the enemy action/crash site/danger area before finding a hide site
- ideally at least a terrain feature away
Short term actions taken during hold up site
- 360 security and head count
- thorough med check, cammi up (body and gear) and secure loose gear
- fund current position and make radio comms “RESCUE RESCUE RESCUE”
Short term evasion actions taken in the event of separation
- designate a rally point for each leg of movement
- be prepared to use non-verbal challenge/reply (iron cross/iron shield) or verbal challenge/reply (emperor/mischief) to link back up
Short term evasion actions when compromised
- will attempt avoid by a change in direction, if impossible to gain cover/concealment to not be seen, if compromised TL will change direction upon movement
- each team member will have blood chit available
Short term evasion actions taken when facing life threatening injuries
-stabalize casualty if possible, if stabilization is unsuccessful a Mercy Contsct will be attempted
Long term evasion intentions in event recovery is not made within 48 hrs
- will move to new Dar/hlz/CP for possible link up
- will identify signaling/comms locations
- will continue monitoring radio until batteries are depleted
Capture intended actions if capture is imminent
- make duress call with DATE TIME LOCATION
- zero radio/GPS/compass
- consume any food/water
- spread-load as much survival gear as possible
- sanitize information (overlays, notebooks and pocket litter) and yourself (patches)
Nar actions to be taken to rendezvous with ground forces
- rendezvous instructions coordinated, location/link up area
- authentication far/near initiated/reciprocated
- authentication procedures ISOPREP initiated/reciprocated
- be prepared to comply with follow on instructions
