2 or more needs prompt clinical care
4 or more indicate septic shock.
Sepsis
Sepsis is when infection or a bug widespread in bloodstream and can result in interruption of oxygen and nutrients supply to vital organs in your body
It’s medical emergency and if not treated and can be life threatening condition if not treated promptly.
Cause of sepsis
GAS, community acquired infection, commonly carried on skin, nasal passage.
symptoms of sepsis?
1- Fever
2- nausea
3- vomiting
4- diarrhoea
5- SOB
6- vaginal discharge
Signs of sepsis
Temp more than38
Less 36
2- oxygen sat 95 or less
3- RR 25or more
4- tachycardia 100
5- urine output less than0.5 ml/ kg.
6- cappilary refill more than 2 seconds.
Fluid resuscitation
20ml/kg in pregnancy
30/kg in Gynae
What is the mean arterial pressure in pregnancy
Should be more than 64mmHg
