Sepsis Regimen

A
  1. Measure lactate level
  2. Blood cultures
  3. Give ABX broad spectrum
  4. Give rapid administration 30 mL/kg of crystalloid for hypotension or lactate >= 4 mmol/kg —> lactate ringer
  5. Vasopressin’s (NE > epinephrine > dopamine) IF hypotensive or after fluid to maintain MAP >= 65
    - MAX NE = 0.5 mcg/kg/min —> add 2nd vasopressor
  6. IF STILL HYPOTENSIVE, add corticosteroid—> hydrocortisone 50 mg IV q6h
  7. IV Insulin infusion if glucose > 180 ; TARGET 140-180
