What is Distillation?
Distillation takes advantage of different boiling points.
What is Chromatography?
Chromatography involves solvent separation on solid mediums.
What is distillation?
Distillation takes advantage of different boiling points.
What is evaporation?
Evaporation removes a liquid from a solution to leave a solid material.
What is filtration?
Filtration separates solids of different sizes.
What is a pure substance?
Something that is made up of only one kind of molecule.
What is a heterogenous mixture?
A mixture that does not appear to be the same throughout. The parts are easily recognizable and separate.
What are some examples of a heterogenous mixture?
Chocolate chip cookies, granite, cereal with milk.
What is a homogenous mixture?
A mixture that is well mixed and appears to be the same throughout. Particles are small, not easily recognizable and do not settle when mixture is allowed to stand.
What are some examples of a homogenous mixture?
