Techniques that can be used to separate two different states of matte.

What is evaporation?
A
Separates a liquid from solids as heat transfer via vaporization or boiling.

What is filtration?
A
Separates an insoluble solid from a pure liquid or a solution.
[E.g if there was muddy water when you pour it through the filter clear water will come out and remove the mud.]

A
A technique of separating two or more dissolved solids which are in a solution.
