A
  • present the short version of the safety demo.
  • use onboard annoucements, perform a live safety demo up to the safetu features card segment ( less than 3 mins)
  • the drop down oxygen system must be done prior to reaching 25,000 ft
  • life vest demo must be completed prior to the overwater portion of the flight.

  • stow equipment not required for service
  • make a PA (seat belt)

  • if it is not safe. sit in jumpseat and fasten belt.

A

Anticipated MODERATE:
- stop service
- make a PA
- stow equipment, starting with the larger items. then hot liquids
- check cabin (lav, seat belt, carts, trolleys, galley/service equipment, baggage, laptop, o-nboard wheelchair)
- sit in jumpseat
- give cabin secure signal to IC

Unanticipated MODERATE:
- Stop Service
- Make a PA
- Stow equipment if possibile, start with large items.
- as a minimum, set brakes on carts.
- check cabin (lav, seat belt, carts, trolleys, galley/service equipment, baggage, laptop, o-nboard wheelchair)
- sit in jumpseat
- take any necessary action to protect yourself. Hold on to any fixed part of the aircraft or sit down.
- give cabin secure signal to IC
- DO NOT MOVE until IC advises it is safe to resume duties.

  • The inop door with inop slide must not be used for pax boarding

  • The door, exit/slide opposite to the inop door must be functioning
  • a live safety demo must be made
  • CC must make a PA informing pax of the location of the inop exit.

A

occurs when the majority of surfaces within the enclosed area are heated to the auto igition temperature of those flammable gases. is caused by oxygen mixing with the heat and combustible gas.

- an intox unruly pax was denied boarding
- CC refuses a pax’s request for alcohol.

FAM 2.10.3.1

CARs and the Non-smokers health act prohibit smoking on any canadian registered aircraft at all times.

Should a pax be found smoking on board, CC must:

  • Inform Pax of regulation, request compliance and advise they will be met upon landing.
  • Advise the PIC of the situation so they can request a CS Manager to meet the aircraft
  • Follow level 1
  • COmplete DPAX
  • remit any hard evidence, such as the cigarett butt to the CSM
  • include any evidence of tampering with the smoke detector as this is a separate offence.

If pax refuses to comply, advise the PIC and inform pax that they will be deplaned at thenext landing point and charges may be laid. PIC has the authority to make an unscheduled stop in order to have them deplaned.
