Q

How does the auto scale work?

A

It automatically increases from:

Ppm to %LEL to % by volume (concentrations above 100% LEL)

7
Q

Sensit Vs Altair

A

Sensit is calibrated to methane and does not require a conversion vs Altair requires conversion of double to read natural gas accurately

Sensit has greater resolution: 1 ppm vs 1% LEL of Altair

Sensit reads above UEL (14%) vs Altair will not

10
Q

Sensit Color scaling

A

Green = <1% of LEL
Yellow = 1% of LEL to 100% LEL
Red = >100% LEL

Yellow reads as how close to LEL gas is in the atmosphere

RED reads as % by volume in atmosphere

13
Q

When the Sensit reads 10% LEL what does the Altair 5-gas read? Why?

A

Altair 5 gas reads 20% LEL because of the .5 correction factor

17
Q

What does a green LED indicate

A

Ready

0-4.9% LEL Methane

18
Q

What does an amber LED indicate?

A

Low

5% to 9.9% LEL Methane

19
Q

Haz 1-3

> 10% LEL methane

20
Q

Where should you start the Sensit G2?

A

In a gas free environment

21
Q

What should you do if “pump blocked” is not displayed when performing a pump check?

A

Replace the rubber O-rings at the sampling tip

22
Q

How do you put Sensit G2 into tick mode?

A

Press tick menu button

then “select test tick” will be displayed

Press Tick menu again

Equipment is in tick mode

23
Q

How do you re-enable ticks if you have muted it?

A

Press tick/menu button

24
Q

How does the Sensit Gold G2 indicate concentrations of gas?

A

Bar graph will be displayed and audible clicks will increase as concentrations increase

25
Q

What is displayed if Sensit Gold G2 encounters a gas it is not calibrated to?

A

Equipment displays:

NSR (nonstandard response)

NSC (nonstandard combustible)

If you encounter these consider backing out and reevaluating the situation
