A

A question asked to make a point, rather than get and answer.

What is syntax and inversion?

A

Syntax is the normal order of a sentence: subject > verb> object ( used to emphasise subject)
Inversion is the reverse of syntax: object> verb> subject (used to place emphasis on a particular word)

E.g the cat sat on the mat and on the mat sat the cat.

What is contrast?

A

When unrelated groups of words can be placed side by side to show the contrast between ideas.

A

Adding extra information using brackets, dashes or commas. But if taken out, the sentence still makes sense. Can be used to better understand setting, or aspects of character.
