Explain how a bill becomes a law (steps 1 - 9)

A
  1. An idea is introduced by someone
  2. A rep or senator sponsors and introduces the bill.
  3. A bill is signed to one of the four committees
  4. The bill is sent to the sub committee for recommendations
  5. The bill is sent back to the committee again to debate,amend and vote.
  6. The bill goes to the house that introduced it to vote on it.
  7. Same process as #6 but with opposite house.
  8. Both bills are sent to a conference committee to make a final bill.
  9. The bill is finally sent to the president so that he either signs it or veto it.
