23
Q

Fuel tank vent locations?

A

One under each wing and features anti ice.

24
Q

Priming system?

A

For both engines have manual.
Primes cylinders 1,2&4
8 Stroked per engine.

25
Q

Auxiliary Fuel pumps?

A

Are electric.
Operate Max .8psi Min .5psi
Aux pumps on for TKOF AND LDG and if engine driven fuel pump fails.

26
Q

Fuel selectors

A

Both on
X-feed if needing fuel from opposite side.
Re- Fuelling restrictions are to distribute fuel evenly.

27
Q

Oil grades?

A

MIL-L-6082B straight mineral oil

MIL-L-2285 Ashless dispersant

28
Q

Max and min oil levels?

A

Min - 4 quarts

Max - 6 quarts

29
Q

Max and min oil pressure?

A

Max - 115psi

Min - 15psi

30
Q

Engine oils temps?

A

Max - 118
Min - 24
Normal - between 24 to 118

31
Q

Engine make?

A

2 x Lycoming O-360EIA6D

32
Q

Power and cylinders?

A

180BHP
4 Cylinders
2700rpm MCP (Full Throttle)

33
Q

Prop govoners?

A

Oil pressure sends blades to high rpm/feather.

Spring and gravity send blades to low rpm.

They controls engine rpm by varying pitch to match load torque with engine torque.

If oil pressure is lost props go to the coarse/feather position.

34
Q

U/C System?

A

Retractable, tricycle type U/C, hydraulically operated and held in retracted position by hydraulic pressure. Springs assist in gear extension and lock the gear. After gear is down, down lock hooks engage and Springs maintain force on each hook keeping UC locked will released by hydraulic pressure.

If hear hydraulic pump work for a time after gear up possible issue so pull the pump circuit breaker.

35
Q

Trim controls?

A

Rudder and elevator

36
Q

Flap system?

A

Manually operated
Spring loaded to retract position
Actuating linkage hold flap in retracted position

37
Q

Flap speed range?

A

56 to 111kts

0,10,25,40 degree settings

38
Q

Fresh Air intake?

A

Upper rear of fuselage

39
Q

Fuel caps?

A

Aft of engine cowling on out board sides of cowling

40
Q

Wing span?

A

38’66”

41
Q

Hydraulic systems?

A

LDG gear
Brakes
Prop govoners

42
Q

Sources of electrical power?

A

2 X 60amp alternators providing 14v system.
1 X 35amp 12v battery

Alternator loss by a annunciation light and zero ammeter reading.

Over voltage sensor takes an alternator off line if output exceeds 17v.
If breaker pops re seat only once.

43
Q

DC voltage?

A

12v DC

44
Q

External power?

A

Yes - lower right side of nose section

Battery located in nose section

45
Q

If left engine is shit down which systems are lost?

A

Heater as it takes fuels from left engine.

46
Q

Stall warning devices?

A

2 devices on left wing leading edge to provide adequate stall warning at varied AoA.

In board detector activates at flaps 25 to 40
Out board detector activates as flaps 0 to 10

Deactivated on ground due squat switch on left main LDG gear.

47
Q

Cockpit ventilation?

A

Air intake system with fresh air outlets located at each seat and over head

48
Q

Cockpit heated by?

A

1 Janitrol combustion heater in forward fuselage
Burns 2lts/hr

On ground turn switch to FAN for two minutes.
In flight leave air intake open for 15 seconds after turning off.

49
Q

What happens to Vmca as you climb?

A

Vmca speed decreases due to reduced drag on tail plane.

50
Q

What happens to Vmca banking to live engine?

A

Vmca decreases due to reduced rudder deflection.

51
Q

What happens when flaps are extended 1 inop?

A

Lift is effected, creats a pitch down moment and reduced stall speed.

Under asymmetric conditions lowering flaps reduces climb performance.

52
Q

What happens to Vmca with cowl flaps?

A

If cowl flap on live is open and closed on inop drag is reduced on the dead engine side and increases on the love side which reduced Vmca.

53
Q

What happens with a forward and aft CoG?

A

Forward CoG makes greater stability and control

Aft CoG reduces control and stability but also creates a higher speed as less drag is produced by the tail plane.

54
Q

Gear not down warning?

A

1 - When gear not down and MAP below 15” one one or both engines.

2 - When gear not down and flap selected 25 degree.

3 - When gear is down but the selector is up while on the ground.

55
Q

Squat Switch

A

Prevent great retraction on the ground, located on he left main LDG gear.

Prevents electrical current to hydraulic pump. As strut becomes extended in flight switch allows current to the pump.

56
Q

Short field 0 flaps

A
Brakes set
Full power then breaker release.
Accel to 70kts
Rotate to attain 75kts
Accel to BAoC 82kts or BRoC 88kts
57
Q

Short field takeoff 25 degree flaps.

A
Brakes on
Full power and release brakes
Accel to 63kts
Rotate to attain 67kts
Gear up.
