A

  • Aim is to help pupils to grow in their understanding of concepts, and recognise their significance within their own experience and the experience of religious people

Enquire: What does symbol mean?
Activity 1:
=Think-pair-share: What do these items have in common? Whole class feedback
= Whole Class discussion- What might each symbol mean?
= In pairs, pupils go through magazines and newspapers0 cut out symbols
= Teacher poses the question: Are these signs or symbols

Activity 2:
= Teacher reads a story to the class
=Asks questions on the story
= Discussion: consult dictionaries and in pairs agree on the meaning behind their symbols -) Complete writing frame
