COPING MECHANISM
Individuals way of reacting to frustration, these are unconscious psychological strategies
DEFENSE MECHANISM
The desires that are forbidden by the super ego and yet desired by the id ( mag g’give in ka sa frustration mo)
ACTING OUT
We lower our sights reducing our goals to something that we believe is actually more possible or realistic (nag s’settle for less, babawasan mo yung goal mo kasi alam mong hindi mo yun kayang makamit )
AIM INHIBITION
Avoid your own pains by concentrating on the pains of other maybe you can heal yourself and feel good by healing them and helping them to feel good ( para ma manage niya yung stress is they helping others)
ALTRUISM
It is a common saying and is also a common action
ATTACK
We simply find ways of avoiding having to face uncomfortable situations ( iiwasan mo)
AVOIDANCE
When a person has a weakness in one area they may compensate by accentuating or building up strengths in another area
