Permission to rent or lease endorsement #5A
For use on policies covering vehicles leased on a long term basis where a master policy is issued to the lesser and individual endorsements issued to each lessee.
The application is to be completed and signed by the Lessee, as applicant, showing the Applicant’s name and address and the Lessor’s name and address.
Permission to carry passengers for compensation endorsement SEF #6A
This endorsement is for use on passenger vehicles not operated under public vehicle acts, such as taxis, ambulances, automobiles used to transport fellow employees
Marine use excluded endorsement SEF #9
For use with vehicles designed for use on water as well as on land to exclude coverage while vehicles are in or upon water or being launched or landed
Comprehensive cover deletion of glass endorsement SEF #13D
This endorsement reduces the coverage afforded by comprehensive by deleting loss or damage to glass unless such loss is caused by a specified peril as described under section 4 of section C.
Also covers loss or damage caused by vandalism to windows other than the front window

Agreements for suspension of coverage endorsement SEF #16
AND
Reinstatement of coverage endorsement SEF #17
These endorsements provide for the suspension and later reinstatement of coverage in the event the described automobile is laid up for a period of not less than sixty days.
The advantage of the SEF #16 over the normal deletion of coverage is that the policy continues to provide Third party liability, accident benefits coverage while the described automobile is in storage
Valued Automobile (s) endorsement SEF #19A
The payment for physical damage losses on the SPF #1 is limited to ACV. This endorsement is used to provide section C coverage on a valued basis for the amount stated.
It is most often used to insure antique, classic and restored automobiles. Normally an appraisal will be required before the insurer will agree to provide coverage on a valued basis.
Loss of use endorsement SEF #20
Coverage is provided only when direct damage (section c) is insured.
When there is loss to the automobile which results in its loss of use to the insured, the insurer agrees to pay all reasonable expenses incurred for;
- the rental of a substitute automobile
- taxicabs or public means of transportation
Coverage limits are set at a certain amount per day, with a max limit per occurrence. Most insurers provide insured with various daily and occurrence options.

Mortgage endorsement SEF #23A
Mortgagee, Bank
This is for use when a mortgagee is added during the policy term other than at the time of an application or addition of automobile or otherwise if notice or cancellation to mortgagee is required
Legal liability for damage to non-owned automobile endorsement SEF #27
This endorsement is available only on policies issued in the name of individuals.
Corporations and partnerships may secure similar coverage under SEF #94 attached to a non-owned automobile policy.
This endorsement will provide coverage for loss or damage to certain types of non-owned automobiles which are leased or rented to insured in their own name on a short-term basis.
When added to the insured’s SPF #1, this will eliminate the need to purchase physical damage coverage from the lessor or rental agency.
Coverage applies to automobiles being operated, used or parked in Canada or the US, and only if;
- The insured is legally liable for the damage or
- the insured has agreed under a contract or agreement to be responsible for the damage
Excluding operation of attached machinery endorsement SEF #30
This is to be used where it is desirable to exclude liability under section A and Section B of the policy for the operation of certain types of machinery, such as that used for well drilling, spraying, welding, excavating or hoisting. Such machinery is not excluded as respects section C of the policy.
Recreational Vehicle Endorsements SEF #32
For use with SPF1 to provide coverage for unlicensed, unqualified or underage drivers while the recreational vehicle is being used off public highways, as defined.
Snowmobiles, trail bikes, midget automobiles, motor scooters, mini-cycles, snow planes, motorized toboggans, mopeds, motor assisted vehicles or dune buggies all fall within the definition of recreational vehicles insured by this endorsement.
Family protection endorsement SEF #44
When a motorist responsible for bodily injury or death to persons insured by this endorsement does not have enough insurance, or is uninsured, this endorsement increases the third party liability limits available to those insureds to the same limits as purchased under their own policy. Persons qualifying as insureds under this endorsement can include;
- the named insured and spouse while residing in the same dwelling premises
- dependent relatives
It protects you and family in any car
