What is discretional access control
Within directory access control a certain amount of access control is left to the discretion of the objects owner or anyone else who is authorised to control the objects access. Typically used in commercial environments.
What does mandatory access control mean
Access control policy decisions are made beyond the control of an individual owner of an object. Typically used in military environments.
What does a subject refer to in the bell la Padula model refer to
The entity that can access the information, a subject can be a computer, program or person
What does an object refer to in the bell la Padula model
An object refers to the information that the subject is attempting to access
What are the typical security classes
