- Enable Security Fabric Connection on the interfaces that face any downstream FortiGate device
- Enable the connector and select “serve as fabric route”
- Configure FortiAnalyzer or a cloud logging solution
- Enable device detection on downstream devices
- Authorize downstream devices on root FortiGate
