Computer security is the protection of computer systems from theft or damage. Damage can be done to the hardware, software, data. It can also disrupt or misdirect services provided.

Non-repudiation - the ability to ensure that someone cannot refute responsibility.
Authentication - the act of determining if something/someone is what/who they say they are
