What are the advantages of access keys?
A
They are simple to set up and regenerate, and allow any application with the right key easy access.

What are the disadvantages of access keys?
A
If an access key is compromised any user or app has unfettered access to your data, and when the key is regenerated, you may need to update all applications that connect using that key.
