Security
Safeguarding civil aviation against acts of unlawful interference.
It is achieved by combination of measures and human and material resources.
Airside
The movement area of an airport,adjacent terrain and building or portions thereof access to which is controlled.
Aircraft Security Check
An inspection of the interior of the aircraft to which passengers may have had access and an inspection of the hold for purposes of discovering suspicious items,weapons,explosives and other dangerous devices or substances.
Screening
The application of technical or other means which are intended to identify and or detect weapons, explosive and other dangerous items,devices or osubstances that can be used in order to commit any acts of unlawful interference.
Unidentified Baggage
Baggage at an airport with or without a baggage tag which is not picked up by or identified with a passenger.
Security Control
Is the application of means of which the introduction of prohibited items is prevented.
Security Restricted Area
All commercial aviation passenger departure areas between the screening checkpoint and the aircraft.
Objective of Aviation Security
Safeguard international civil aviation operations against acts of unlawful interference.
