large institutions have been replaced by smaller institutions. this leads to the disengagement of religion it has become privatized.
Explain Bruce’s argument of social diversity
In the past, small rural communities were held together by religious practices, but people now live in large urban communities.
Explain Berger’s argument of religious diversity.
diversity undermines the plausibility of religion. you question religious groups have different beliefs to your own but if they are wrong, it is possible they are wrong. religion therefore becomes a personal point of view rather than a single set of beliefs.
