A

What is Section 3?

A

Extension of Section 2. This section is for treatment, compared to Section 2 which is for assessment.

If someone has a known mental health condition, they can be sectioned under Section 3 immediately since they do not require assessment.

2 health professionals and an AMHP must agree.

A
